Our principal Reconstruction Specialist, Arthur Borchers, has been certified as a Traffic Accident Reconsructionist by the Illinois Police Training Board since 1990 and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction since 1994. Mr. Borchers received his training through the Northwestern University Traffic Institute (now the Center for Public Safety), the Institute for Police Training & Management (IPTM) of the University of North Florida and the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) of Texas A&M University.
Mr. Borchers has investigated hundreds of serious traffic collisions over the past 29 years and has been recognized as an expert in both civil and criminal proceedings.
In addition to his experience in the traffic crash investigation, Mr. Borchers has extensive training in Crime Scene Processing, Evidence Collection & Preservation, and Interviewing & Interrogation.
Mr. Borchers also served as both President and Secretary of the Illinois Association of Technical Accident Investigators.
